Ciabatta bread is a rustic Italian bread known for its irregular shape, open crumb structure, and chewy texture. So we decided to make our own, with some adjustments.

Add flour, yeast, sugar, salt, olive oil, and lukewarm water to a deep bowl.
Mix well and knead for 10-12 minutes until smooth. Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place at home, or until it doubles in size.
Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape measuring 35x18 cm.
Cut it into 10 equal pieces.
Place the pieces of dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and lightly dust them with flour.
Let the dough rise for another 30 minutes or until doubles in size.
Preheat the oven to 250 ℃ (482 ℉) and bake the soft ciabatta for 8-12 minutes. Keep an eye on the baking time as every oven may vary.
