Tips
For extra crispy texture, you can briefly toast or bake the rolls before filling them.
Marinate the ground meat the night before. Store, covered, in the fridge.
Use a mix of cheeses.
You can add vegetables to taste.
Every oven works differently, so check the rolls after 5 minutes to ensure the cheese melts without drying out the bread.
You can use a spoon to hollow out the inside of the bread. Toast the removed bread and crumble it as a topping.
Add salt to taste.
Stappenplan
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the groud meat, salt, cumin powder, garlic powder, red bell pepper powder, cayenne pepper powder, and dried parsley. Cook the meat mixture for 5-6 minutes.
Add the finely chopped yellow onion, red bell pepper pieces, and green olives. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are soft. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the grated cheese. Mix well.
Cut the bread rolls in half and carefully remove the inner part, or press it down to create a hollow space.
Fill the the rolls with some cheese and the meat mixture.
Place the filled rolls on a baking dish and sprinkle extra cheese on top if desired.
Put the rolls in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F). Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
Garnish the rolls with avocado salsa, lettuce, and a sauce of your choice.
