
Gozleme with cheese

This easy gozleme recipe is ideal for iftar, as it’s speedy and simple to whip up! With just a handful of ingredients, you can whip together the dough and stuff it with your preferred savory filling. After a quick stint in the skillet, serve it piping hot (or chilled) as a delicious snack or side dish alongside soup!

Instructions

Put the flour, salt, water, and yogurt in a deep bowl. Mix and knead for 10 minutes. Cover the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Crumble the feta cheese and place it in a bowl. Add the grated cheese and chives. Mix well. Finally, add the cream cheese and mix until combined.

Take the dough and divide it into 8 pieces (64 grams each). Shape them into balls.

Place the dough on a floured work surface. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a thin round sheet of 25 cm. Fill it with the feta mixture, moisten the edges with a little water, and fold it. Repeat the process and place them on a sheet of parchment paper.

Bake in a frying pan over medium-high heat until cooked on both sides. Cover with a tea towel to keep the gozleme soft.

Warm some unsalted butter in a saucepan over low heat. Brush the rolls with it.
