Tips
Try to slice the potatoes evenly.
Let the dish rest for 5-10 minutes after baking for easier serving.
Make it gluten-free by substituting flour with cornstarch.

Melt butter over low heat and stir in flour for about 1 minute. Gradually add milk, salt, black pepper powder, cayenne powder, curry powder, onion powder and garlic powder. Stir until this mixture thickens. Add Parmesan cheese and until smooth.

Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. Spread a layer of sauce over the bottom of a baking dish and place a layer of potato slices on top. If you like, add some black pepper. Repeat this process until all the potato slices are used, and pour the remaining sauce over the top.
Bake at 200°C (392°F) for 60 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.
Top with grated cheese and bake for another 10 minutes until golden brown. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
