Stappenplan
In a large bowl, combine the lukewarm milk, lukewarm water, sugar, and yeast. Mix well and let it sit for 5 minutes. Add the butter, beaten egg, flour, and salt. Mix and knead the dough for 10–12 minutes.
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
In a separate bowl, combine the ground beef with black pepper, salt, and sunflower oil. Mix well.
For the sauce: mix the mayonnaise, mustard, chili sauce, ketchup, pickle juice, onion powder, and grated pickles in a bowl. Stir until smooth and set aside.
Divide the dough into 10 portions (about 65 g each) and shape them into balls.
Roll each dough ball flat on a floured surface until it’s about 14 cm in diameter.
Place some of the beef mixture on one half of the dough. Optional: add cheese if desired. Fold the dough over to seal. Repeat with the remaining dough balls.
Place the buns (oven burgers) on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Let it rise for another 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and bake the oven burgers for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Slice open each oven burger and fill with the sauce, cheese, desired vegetables, and caramelized onion. Enjoy your meal!
