Make sure the cod is well-dried before grinding it in the food processor.
Add a few drops of lemon juice or a pinch of lemon zest for a fresh flavor in the fish mixture.
Check the flavor of the sauce halfway through cooking. If you want it spicier or more flavorful, you can add extra cayenne pepper, salt, or herbs. You can also skip the cayenne pepper or replace it with paprika powder if you don’t like it spicy.
After 15 minutes, check if the potatoes are soft by poking them with a fork. If they’re still not tender enough, let the dish simmer for a few more minutes.

Grind the cod in a food processor and place it in a deep bowl. Add the turmeric powder, cumin powder, cayenne powder, garlic powder, coriander powder, chopped coriander, and olive oil. Mix well.
Take some of the cod mixture and shape into small balls. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
Heat the olive oil in a tajine or deep pan over medium heat. Add the chopped yellow onion and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the potato slices, chopped parsley, turmeric powder, cayenne powder, garlic powder, and cumin powder to the pan. Mix well.
Pour the water into the pan and place the cod balls on top. Add the red and green bell pepper strips. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Once it starts to simmer, lower the heat. Cover and let it simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are cooked through.
