Put the ground chicken in a deep bowl and add the salt, onion powder, ras el hanout, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, chopped parsley, and olive oil. Mix together.
Peel the yellow onion and chop it roughly. Add the roughly chopped onion along with the parsley to a food processor and grind finely.
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the finely ground vegetables, turmeric powder, ginger powder, garlic powder, black pepper powder, salt, bay leaves, and water. Reduce the heat and let it simmer, covered for 20-25 minutes.
Take some of the ground chicken and shape it into balls. As you do this, place them directly into the onion sauce. Let it all simmer covered for 20-25 minutes.
